Hi my name is Violet,

I am a Bridesmaid in my best friends wedding or supposed to be, if the wedding takes place.  You see my friend (whom I will not name because she belongs to many wedding sites and would be HORRIBLY embarrassed if she knew I did this because she has come to rely on a lot of you for help in planning and DIY projects for her day.

Anyway recently she lost her job; she was fired due to retaliation for complaints she made against an employee that was harassing her on a daily basis.  Yes, she has contacted an attorney because she does have these things recorded and a lot of proof to back her up.  That is not all that has happened to her though in the past 2 years she has moved to another state so her daughter could graduate high school (her daughter is what they call a gifted child an needed to be in college level classes, where her and her future husband lived the school district would not pay for it so they moved to another state where they found a public school that would pay for her to go to college, her daughter is now graduating this year).  But in having to make this move they used all of the savings they had, their house has been in foreclosure 2 times and they have saved it.  In having to move they both had to give up good positions and could not find work where they moved for 8 months.  So last year things were going well and they decided to plan their wedding FINALLY.  This wedding is the ending to their story; they have been together many years, 18 to be exact, they own their own home; it was time to put an ending to the story.

So she has planned her wedding, put deposits down did multiple DIY projects to save money and now there will be no wedding.  With her loosing her position there is no money to have it. Her family doesn't think she needs a wedding, mind you she has NEVER been married before but they say at her age (39) just go to the JP and do it, matter of fact her family is not even attending because they feel it is childish for her to want a wedding.  Don't get me wrong her future husband works full-time and then some but it is only paying the bills.  If they change the wedding date they loose EVERYTHING they have put down as deposits, which totals about $3000.  I would really like to see them be able to get married this year they are good people and would do anything for anyone (she has worked in Home Health Care for 12 years taking care of elderly people that had basically no one) they deserve to have this wedding. 

What I am asking of everyone is to donate $1 to them if I can't get 7,000 people to donate just $1 this wedding will happen.    I have set up a Pay Pal account in the brides name and am asking everyone to just donate that 41 so she can have her wedding.  This $7,000 I am trying to raise would cover ALL costs of her wedding including reception, dress, photographer, cake, EVERYTHING!!!!
